Snowflake + Sean • Civil 3D Productivity Bundle
Two practical Civil 3D productivity tools. One bundle.
Save time on contour-label cleanup and feature-line elevation-point placement with Snowflake ET-001 and Sean ET-007.
Both tools work directly with native Autodesk Civil 3D objects and are designed to eliminate repetitive production work without introducing proprietary drawing objects.
Included Tools
Snowflake ET-001
Civil 3D Contour Label Cleanup Tool
Snowflake cleans up Civil 3D multiple-contour label groups by identifying duplicate, overlapping, and redundant labels, then rebuilding the retained labels as independent native Civil 3D contour-label groups.
Clean contour labels. Without the cleanup.
Sean ET-007
Civil 3D Batch Feature Line Elevation Point Tool
Sean batch-adds native elevation points to multiple Civil 3D feature lines at a user-defined spacing in a single operation.
Sean also includes dedicated Restore and Nuke tools for managing non-PI elevation points.
One command. Thousands of clicks eliminated.
Why the Bundle?
Snowflake and Sean solve two different but equally repetitive Civil 3D production problems:
✔ Clean up duplicate and overlapping contour labels
✔ Batch-add elevation points to multiple feature lines
✔ Restore feature lines to their recorded pre-Sean state
✔ Remove non-PI elevation points when required
✔ Work directly with native Civil 3D objects
✔ Maintain compatibility with standard Civil 3D workflows
✔ Reduce repetitive manual editing
✔ Fully compatible with Civil 3D Undo

ET-007 • Batch Feature Line Elevation Point Tool
One command. Thousands of clicks eliminated.
Sean batch-processes Autodesk Civil 3D feature lines by inserting elevation points at a user-defined spacing across an entire selection in a single operation.
Instead of running Civil 3D’s elevation-point workflow one feature line at a time, select your feature lines, choose the spacing, and let Sean process the batch.
See Sean in Action
Why Sean?
Civil 3D’s standard workflow requires elevation points to be added to feature lines individually. On grading models containing hundreds or thousands of feature lines, repeating that process can consume significant design time.
Sean turns that repetitive workflow into a batch operation while keeping the resulting feature lines and elevation points native to Civil 3D.
Select. Set the spacing. Run Sean.
Key Features
✔ Batch-processes large selections of Civil 3D feature lines in a single operation
✔ Inserts elevation points at a user-defined spacing
✔ Creates native Civil 3D elevation points
✔ Preserves existing feature-line geometry and elevations while adding supplemental elevation points
✔ Eliminates the need to edit feature lines individually
✔ Validates each feature line before and after processing
✔ Fully compatible with Civil 3D Undo
✔ Includes dedicated Restore and Nuke tools for managing non-PI elevation points
Proven in Production
Sean was developed from a real production workflow and tested on Civil 3D drawings containing more than a thousand feature lines.
What would normally require repeating the same operation feature line by feature line can be completed as a single batch.
Included Companion Tools
Restore
Need to change the spacing—or return your feature lines to their original condition?
Before modifying a feature line, Sean records its existing non-PI elevation-point population. Restore uses that record to return selected feature lines to their pre-Sean elevation-point state.
Restore the original points, choose a new spacing, and run Sean again.
Restore. Re-space. Continue designing.
Nuke
Need to remove every supplemental elevation point?
Nuke batch-removes all non-PI elevation points from selected feature lines while preserving their PI points.
Nuke is intentionally more aggressive than Restore. Use Restore when you want to return feature lines to their recorded pre-Sean state. Use Nuke when you intentionally want to remove all non-PI elevation points.
Native Civil 3D
Sean works directly with native Civil 3D feature lines and elevation points.
It doesn’t replace your feature lines with proprietary objects or require a separate workflow after processing. Your feature lines remain fully editable using standard Civil 3D tools.
No proprietary geometry.
No one-at-a-time point placement.
Just faster native Civil 3D feature-line editing.

ET-001 • Contour Label Cleanup Tool
Clean contour labels. Without the cleanup.
Snowflake cleans up Civil 3D multiple-contour label groups by identifying duplicate, overlapping, and redundant labels, then rebuilding the labels to be retained as independent native Civil 3D contour-label groups.
Keep the speed of Civil 3D’s Contour Multiple workflow—without manually wrestling with the label line afterward.
See Snowflake in Action
Why Snowflake?
Civil 3D’s Contour Multiple command is fast and useful, but complex surfaces can leave you with duplicate, overlapping, or redundant contour labels.
Cleaning them manually means adjusting the label line one vertex at a time—often fixing one area while creating another problem somewhere else along the line.
Snowflake automates that cleanup while preserving native Civil 3D behaviour.
Select. Clean. Continue designing.
Key Features
✔ Analyzes native Civil 3D multiple-contour label groups
✔ Identifies duplicate, overlapping, and redundant contour labels
✔ Determines which labels can be retained without duplication or overlap
✔ Rebuilds retained labels as independent native Civil 3D one-label groups
✔ Preserves label position, style, rotation, and displayed elevation
✔ Keeps retained labels individually editable in Civil 3D
✔ Removes the original multiple-contour label group only after successful validation
✔ Leaves the drawing unchanged if the operation is cancelled or cannot be completed
✔ Fully compatible with Civil 3D Undo
✔ Uses native Civil 3D objects with no proprietary annotation objects
How It Works
Create your contour labels using Civil 3D’s standard Contour Multiple command.
Run Snowflake from the Escapement Tools ribbon.
Select the multiple-contour label group you want to clean up.
Snowflake analyzes the group and identifies the labels that can be retained without duplication or overlap.
Confirm the operation.
Snowflake replaces the original group with independent native Civil 3D one-label groups containing the retained labels.
That’s it.
Continue designing normally and run Snowflake again whenever surface or annotation changes introduce unwanted contour labels.
Native Civil 3D
Snowflake doesn’t explode contour labels into text or replace them with proprietary annotation objects.
Retained labels remain native Civil 3D contour-label objects, preserving normal Civil 3D editing behaviour and compatibility with your existing drawing workflow.
No exploded text.
No proprietary annotation objects.
Just cleaner native Civil 3D drawings.
Built for Production Work
Snowflake was developed from a real production Civil 3D problem: keeping contour annotation readable without giving up the speed and convenience of the standard Contour Multiple workflow.
It removes much of the repetitive cleanup that can follow, leaving you with cleaner annotation and more time for actual design work.
